Early medieval copper alloy zoomorphic harness fitting The cast fitting is complete and double-looped of figure eight form (with an overall length of 50.2mm and a weight of 10.9g). Both loops are oval, of droplet form (with internal dimensions of 17.9mm - 19.0mm x 13.8mm – 14.5mm). The frame is of oval section, widest and thickest at the centre (3.7m wide and 3.9mm thick) and narrowest on the outside edge (2.6mm wide and 3.4mm thick). An incomplete, corroded copper alloy and enamel escutcheon from a type B or C hanging bowl of Early Medieval date (likely mid-6th to mid-7th century AD). The object is slightly convex and was once presumably circular, missing less than half its surface area but the majority of the original rim, making the original circumference uncertain. The object consists of a flat plate once circular with an original diameter of c. 26.6mm, now with damaged edges, and has the 13.7mm wide broken stump of a projection (with a maximum incomplete length of 3mm). A complete cast copper alloy double sharp-hooked clasp (dress hook) of early Medieval date (c. 8th to early 8th century AD). The object consists of a central bar and two curved hooks. The central bar is sub-rectangular in plan and profile measuring 22.5mm long, 7.8mm wide and 4mm thick.
