Medieval lead pilgrim’s ampulla of 14th to early 16th century date The ampulla is near-complete, missing the side loops and with a distorted mouth (with a length of 55.2mm and a weight of 52.5g). The expanded and distorted mouth (with a width of 22.0mm) is partially open. The neck has straight parallel sides and is of oval section (21mm wide and 9.9mm thick). Circular-shaped base of a possible, lead, or lead alloy, pilgrim ampulla. One side of the casting is plain, while the other may have been decorated with a simple design set within a circular border. The top of the casting is open having a deep concave mouth. The opening is not the result of modern damage; however, it is uncertain whether it is an original feature (in which case the tentative identification as an ampulla is incorrect) or the result of careful cutting. The casting was damaged during recovery. Diameter 31.5mm, thickness 8.5mm. Possibly medieval.

Perforated biconical lead, or lead alloy weight. Although the weight's surface is corroded, both sides are visibly decorated with either a chevron or diagonal criss-cross design.
