An incomplete copper alloy Roman sestertius of Commodus (AD 175-192). Reverse depicts Roma, helmeted and draped, seating left on shield, holding a spear in the left hand and Victory in her extended right hand. The coin is very corroded and has lost much of its rim, only part of the obverse inscription can be seen and none of the reverse inscription. Possible matches are RIC III Commodus 369, 401c, and 445.

A fragmentary cast copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch of AD 100-175. The brooch is represented by the head and upper bow (with a remaining overall length of 46.4mm, weight 20.72g) with the spring mechanism, pin, lower bow/leg and catch-plate missing in old damage.
The head is sub-oval in plan with a small knop on the apex (21.4mm tall x 16.8mm wide) to accommodate a perforated lug on the reverse, now damaged (4.8mm wide x 16.2mm tall, internal diameter of surviving perforation 3.1mm), which would have held the spring mechanism. The object is in the form of a horse’s hoof, curved in side profile (overall length 17.3mm, max width 9.8mm, weight 10.63g), with a curved grooves along the body of the cap to delineate the horse’s hoof and fetlock and a circumferential groove to depict a horse shoe at the terminal. The cast mount is near-complete (with a length of 33.5mm and a weight of 5.8g) and is of D-shaped section with straight side, widening towards the hinged end (with a width at the apex of 7.3mm and a thickness of 4.3mm and a width of 11.7mm and a thickness of 4.4mm at the hinged end) and is rounded at the apex.
