The strap was attached around a rectangular slot (16.4m long and 8.2mm wide, 11.0mm x 3.2mm internal) at the rear of the buckle of rectangular section (2.0mm thick). Cast copper alloy buckle with trapeziform extension. The buckle is flat on both faces but the hoop is more rounded on the front. The sides of the extension are faceted. Late Roman copper alloy zoomorphic buckle of Hawkes and Dunning type IA. The buckle is fragmentary, represented by a half of the outside of the frame, or possibly one of the inner scroll terminals (with a surviving length of 24.2mm, a surviving width of 26.0mm and a weight of 10.0g). At the base of the fragment is the broken basal part of the frame of D-shaped section (4.8mm wide and 3.7mm thick) which has a broken lug, likely to have been attached to the bar. Stamped copper alloy (bronze or brass) buckle of sub-rectangular shape with a wide frame. The frame is decorated with stamped impressions of small tokens which imitate ancient coins. There are four types of token/coin impression including: a pious pelican, a horse and rider, a male classical bust looking right and a female classical bust looking left. Cast copper alloy buckle with an asymmetrical double loop frame, probably dating to the from the 16th to 18th century. The buckle incorporates an oval frame on one side with a rectangular frame the other. The oval side has a D shaped cross section with knops on the outside edge of the frame, and is otherwise plain. The rectangular side, including the bar has a rectangular or trapezoidal cross section and a series of decorative chevron moulding on the outside edge of the frame. Late Medieval or Post Medieval lead alloy or pewter buckle frame fragment. The fragment is flat and is likely to be from an ornate double oval buckle. The upper face is decorated on each knop with a moulded reversed scroll. The fragment has broken at the centre (bar) and at the top and bottom. Remnants of silvering or tinning survive on the rear of the buckle.

Post medieval copper alloy buckle of mid-16th to mid-17th century date The cast buckle frame is of rectangular form (33.7mm long, 46.1mm wide and weighing 18.7g) and is complete except for the pin. The integral outside edge resembles a roller and is decorated with diagonal notches either side of a central notch for the pin. The underside of the outside edge is bevelled. The sides have two rounded lobes, with a larger lobe near the bar (9mm deep and 5.4mm thick). The bar is offset and narrowed. The surface is unpatinated, tarnished 'bronze'.
