Description: Silver thimble, missing its dome, which would have been made separately and soldered into place. There is an open vertical split. The upper part of the thimble bears an incised stepped design with pecked dot background, above a band around the rim bearing the legend. * I AM YOVRS in Roman capitals Maximum height 19.7mm; thickness 0.03mm; weight 3.54g.
