The end-loop is of circular section (3.0mm-3.9mm thick) and is of turned-over form with a bill-like projection, which continues beneath the bow for a length of 9.6mm. The loop and projecting bill was likely to have been intended to resemble a stylised duck’s head (Jackson 1985, p 168) . The loop has an internal diameter of 4.9mm (11.3mm external).
