Post Medieval copper alloy asymmetrical buckle, probably of 17th century date The buckle is concave in profile with one rounded and one straight edge. The buckle frame has a length of 25.73mm, a width of 20.40mm and a depth of 6.99mm. The buckle employed a chape, wrapped around the integral bar with a slot to take the pin Iron corrosion around the slot suggests an iron pin. The terminal of the chape has been lost. The outside edges of the buckle are likely to have carried moulded decoration now lost. The buckle has a pale green surface and weighs 5.2g.

Stamped copper alloy (bronze or brass) buckle of sub-rectangular shape with a wide frame. The frame is decorated with stamped impressions of small tokens which imitate ancient coins. There are four types of token/coin impression including: a pious pelican, a horse and rider, a male classical bust looking right and a female classical bust looking left. The buckle is fitted with an open rectangular-shaped chape and three short tongues. It is a knee buckle of eighteenth century date. Post Medieval copper alloy buckle of 17th century date The buckle is of rectangular double-framed form and is complete (less the pin), but has broken with a length of 47.3mm and a width of 31.21mm. Both outer edges and the central area, above the bar, are decorated with trefoil knops. The buckle weighs 6.8g and has poor surface preservation with a mid-green patina.

Cast copper alloy buckle with an asymmetrical double loop frame, probably dating to the from the 16th to 18th century. The buckle incorporates an oval frame on one side with a rectangular frame the other. The oval side has a D shaped cross section with knops on the outside edge of the frame, and is otherwise plain. The rectangular side, including the bar has a rectangular or trapezoidal cross section and a series of decorative chevron moulding on the outside edge of the frame. The buckle was originally tinned or silvered.

Late Medieval or Post Medieval lead alloy or pewter buckle frame fragment. The fragment is flat and is likely to be from an ornate double oval buckle. The upper face is decorated on each knop with a moulded reversed scroll. The fragment has broken at the centre (bar) and at the top and bottom. Remnants of silvering or tinning survive on the rear of the buckle.

Copper alloy rectangular framed buckle with central bar, of Post Medieval date, probably 17th century. The buckle is concave along its length; the outside edge of the frame at both ends is sub-triangular. The side of the frame are angled inwards slightly and have a rounded knop at the position of the central bar. The buckle has retained the pin, which is of D-shaped section and has a transverse ridge. The frame was originally tinned, but is otherwise plain.

Post medieval copper alloy buckle of mid-16th to mid-17th century date The cast buckle frame is of rectangular form (33.7mm long, 46.1mm wide and weighing 18.7g) and is complete except for the pin. The integral outside edge resembles a roller and is decorated with diagonal notches either side of a central notch for the pin. The underside of the outside edge is bevelled. The sides have two rounded lobes, with a larger lobe near the bar (9mm deep and 5.4mm thick). The bar is offset and narrowed. The surface is unpatinated, tarnished 'bronze'.

An incomplete copper alloy and iron buckle of Post-Medieval date (c. 1650-1720). The double looped rounded trapezoidal frame (32.6mm long, 20.1mm wide) is symmetrical apart from a notch for the pin. Decorative mouldings are visible on the frame where holes have been drilled to insert the iron bar holding the anchor shaped attachment bar (25.5mm long, 14.3mm wide) and the now absent pin.
