A complete forged copper alloy spiral finger ring of probable Iron Age to Roman date (c. 200BC-AD 410). The ring is of Guiraud Type 7 (Guiraud 1989, 195-6).
The ring is made from a forged bar of copper alloy 4.3- 4.8mm diameter wrapped around to form a ring, completing two full turns. The section of the bar is circular. The internal diameter of the ring is variable with a maximum of 22.1mm. The inner surface has a central seam stretching its length and visible in the terminal sections as a result of the forging process.

A near-complete Roman cast copper alloy brooch, of Colchester derivative Polden Hill type, dating from c. AD 80 -120.
The object consists of the head and the bow of the brooch, with the axis bar and spring still intact. The pin and most of the catch plate are missing. It is irregular in plan, broadly comma shaped in profile, and irregular in cross section.

An incomplete cast copper alloy pinhead of probable Roman date (c.AD 43-410). The pin is comprised of the head and a fragment of the shaft (overall height 13.0mm). The head is globular, flat on the bottom, with four intersecting incised grooves forming a flower or star decoration (external diameter 6.7mm, height 3.2mm). The shank is circular in section (diameter 3.0mm, 9.2mm long) and terminates in a transverse break.
The object has a dark green patina and weighs 1.24g.

Circumstances of discovery and reporting
A hoard of 37 Roman silver coins was discovered by David Henry Moss and Tom Taylor on 20th-21st December 2018 and 19th January 2019 in Caerhun Community, Conwy.
The coins were found while metal detecting on cultivated land that was under pasture at the time. The findspot (a National Grid Reference) of the coins and addresses of interested parties are given on the Treasure Receipt Form. The coins were discovered scattered in shallow rocky ploughsoil at depths of approximately 3-4 inches.

A ceramic pot containing 2733 Roman silver and copper alloy coins was discovered by David Henry Moss and Tom Taylor on 22nd December 2018 in Caerhun Community, Conwy.
The hoard was found while metal detecting on cultivated land that was under pasture at the time. The top of the pot was discovered at a depth of about 30cm below the surface of the field, at the top of a slight mound. Silver crossbow brooch, complete and well preserved with little sign of corrosion, apart from the pin, which is of copper alloy and only survives as badly corroded fragments. The knob at the head is quasi-onion shape rising from a double ridged collar. The arms are a hexagonal tube that houses a copper alloy axial bar for the pin, which was hinged. About half of a finger ring with a flat elongated oval bezel and the remains of plain loop tapering away from the bezel. The bezel is decorated with a crudely scratched motif, probably intended to be a stylized palm branch.

Small silver object consisting of a small circular bowl on a long slender shaft that tapers to a point. The bowl is now at virtually a right angle to the shaft and the shaft is bent again about two-thirds along its length, but originally all would probably have been aligned. There is no additional decoration.

The integrally cast pestle has a bird-headed loop at one end, measuring 12.8mm in diameter and 3.4mm wide, with the loop having a faceted oval cross section c. 3.4-4.0mm thick. A fragment of a copper alloy unidentified artefact, possibly a brooch, and Roman in age. The fragment has a hollow back and iron corrosion which resembles springs, this is at the widest point of the object (10.8mm). The sides then taper to a width of 1.7mm, the narrowest point in the fragment, right above the flared foot (3.8mm). On the front of the object, at the centre of the widest point, there are the remains of a stud where a vertical line coming from the foot and a horizontal line meet.
The fragment has a rough green and purple patina, and signs of iron corrosion on the back.

A near complete cast copper alloy brooch of Colchester Derivative Harlow type, dating to the Roman period (c. 50-80 AD). The brooch is complete apart from the corroded, largely absent spring, pin, and axis bar.
The head of the brooch has two rectangular wings 23.4mm wide, and 7.2mm high, with a curved section with a concave reverse to hold the spring. The centre of the reverse of the head has an integral plate with two perforations (now covered by corrosion product) to hold the chord and axis bar.
