A copper alloy contemporary copy of a Roman as of Claudius dating to the period AD 43-54 (Reece Period 2). Minerva reverse type depicting Minerva right, helmeted and draped, hurling javelin and holding round shield. Copying mint of Rome prototype. cf. RIC I, p.128, no.100.

A copper-alloy Roman as of Claudius I (AD 41-54), dating to the period c.AD 41-54 (Reece period 2). S C reverse type depicting Minerva standing right holding shield and spear. This is probably a contemporary copy, but of very good size and weight and not bad style.
