A near-complete cast copper alloy sheet plate from a composite strap end of Medieval date (c.AD 1230-1450). The plate is tongue-shaped (0.5mm thick), tapering from the wide end (16.5mm wide) with two rivet holes (missing the rivets) to the narrower curved end (c.9.5mm wide). The edge of the wider end raises up slightly in the corners, as seen in other strap-ends e.g. BUC-A9DA09 and in examples illustrated by Egan and Pritchard 2002: 142 no. 664, 670; p.144 no. 672, 673.
