Roman copper alloy bow brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type (Mackreth 2011, Part 3, Transitional Type, Group 2.b2, flat wing ends, Plate 45) Manufactured Lower Severn Valley, dating to the 1st century AD. The brooch is incomplete and is represented by the head and upper bow only and has a surviving height of 26.4mm. The brooch employed a spring mechanism secured by a Polden Hill type arrangement. A fragment of a plated counterfeit siliqua of Valens (364-78), probably based on a piece of Rome (c.f. RIC IX 11b). It is a copy of the VRBS ROMA type siliqua and may have been recognised as a copy at the time and broken. It can be dated to after c.364AD as it was copying a Rome mint issue.

A copper alloy anthropomorphic male figure, of Roman date. Incomplete figure of a male, with only the torso represented. The head, one arm, the other forearm and both lower legs are missing. The figure has a surviving height of 38.6mm, a maximum width and thickness across the shoulders of 23.2mm and 12.8mm respectively. Late Roman silver spoon, probably of 3rd or 4th century AD date. The spoon has a distorted handle and is missing the majority of the bowl, giving the spoon a surviving length of 68mm. The handle was originally approximately 50mm long and is of circular section, becoming oval and wider as it approaches the bowl. The end of the handle was pointed. The spoon has a step to the bowl and is defined by incised lines. The incomplete bowl has a surviving length of 13mm and has a maximum surviving width of 11.2mm. Late Roman to early Medieval copper alloy buckle of Hawkes and Dunning Type IB (1961) of late 4th to early 5th century AD date. The buckle is missing the pin, but is otherwise complete and has an overall length of 17.2mm and a width of 13.1mm. The buckle is D-shaped with protruding zoomorphic decoration, comprising back-to-back horse head decoration positioned on the outside edge of the frame.
