Roman copper alloy bow brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill type (Mackreth 2011, Part 3, Group 2.b2, Lower Severn Valley, flat wing ends type). The brooch is fragmentary, represented by the head and upper-bow only (with a surviving length of 25.9mm, a surviving depth of 9.7mm and a weight of 7.0g). Prehistoric flint tool, possibly a knife of Neolithic date The knife is of sub-triangular form and is complete (with a length of 56.5mm, a width at the butt of 28.9mm, a maximum thickness of 9.7mm and a weight of 15.3g). The tool is bifacially worked but largely confined to the edges and is retouched rather than pressure-flaked. The retouch extends along both edges and the proximal end has also been retouched, largely removing the striking platform. The flint is non-cortical and has patinated pale yellow -white.
