Iron Age copper alloy bow brooch of Colchester-One-Piece type and of 1st century AD date The brooch is incomplete, missing the catch-plate and half of the spring, with pin (with a length of 58.4mm, a depth of 18.1mm and a weight of 6.4g). Half of the spring remains in place but has broken at the end of the chord (with a width of 18.3mm, with a diameter of 1.6mm and a coil diameter 6.0mm) and would have coiled four times each side of the head. The spring is complete but one half is distorted above the head.
