A worn and heavily clipped silver half-crown of Charles II (1660-1685 AD) 3rd issue, 1660-1662. North 2760-1.North type 2761. The coin has been heavily clipped, removing the inscriptions, as well as pierced by a punch through the centre of the coin.
Obverse: Crowned bust left, worn, with XXX behind. Bust is encircled by pelleted border.
Obverse inscription: [CAROLVS II D G MAG BRIT FRAN ET HIB REX]
Reverse: Square Royal shield on cross fleury.
Reverse inscription: [CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO] (I reign under the auspice of Christ)
