Description Silver gilt posy ring, very worn on outside but probably once gilt all over. The broad hoop has a plain outer surface, and a flattened D cross-section. The inner face of the hoop is inscribed with the text: FEARE + GOD + ONLY, in Roman capitals. Internal hoop diameter 19 mm; external hoop diameter 22.7 X 22.5mm; band width 5.4 mm; band T. 1.5mm; weight 4.77g.

A single silver cufflink or button, formed of a circular disc with bevelled sides and a lipped rim. At the back are traces of a corresponding recessed design, obscured by solder for a rounded attachment loop, which is present. The face of the disc bears a raised, stamped design of a pair of hearts side by side, surmounted by a large, single, jewelled and arched crown with central cross. Description The reported object is a silver chape from a scabbard of a narrow-bladed weapon. It is formed of thin sheet metal, bent into a narrow tubular profile which tapers to a rounded tip. There is a vertical seam along one edge, which has split almost the entire length of the chape. The opening is engrailed or scalloped, the apices of which bend inwards slightly and are slightly damage. The two silver items are both fragmentary: Fragment 1: a small rectangular piece of hack-silver, cut from a silver vessel. All four edges have been cut, and there is a hesitant transverse cut running inside one of the longer edges. Both faces of the silver are plain, and the fragment is flat. The external face bears engraved lettering in crudely cut Lombardic style, which appears to read: I S H [reversed h of N] A - (horizontal 'I' unless a dash) The 'S' being on its side, and the motto may be garbled. There is evidence for a restriction in the frame for a pin (now missing). The back is plain. External diameter 28mm; inner diameter 19mm; maximum thickness 1mm; weight 1.47g. The ring, which has a highly worn outer surface, has not undergone any cleaning or conservation.

Silver gilt decorative ring with two transverse flutes on the bezel, each engraved with a repeating pattern of alternating flowers filling triangular panels. The bezel is separated from the hoop by a deep transverse mouldings of each side. Below these mouldings, the hoop has a median ridge on each side, each facet with engraved sprig-like decoration. The inside of the oval hoop is plain. Internal hoop diameter 19.3mm x 21.3mm; bezel width 8.7mm; band thickness at base 1.4mm; weight 5.16g. The ring has not undergone any cleaning or conservation.
