The reported object is an annular brooch. The silver frame is of circular cross-section, and slightly distorted. One face is decorated with four groups of diagonally-set incised lines inlaid; the other face has transverse lines around 50% of the frame, and pairs of parallel lines set herringbone pattern fashion for the other half. There are traces of black niello within the incised lines. The two sides of the wrap-around head overlap at the top, and the head swivels freely on the frame. Small silver annular brooch.
The silver frame is of quatrilobe form, with rounded mouldings in the angles between the lobes. The external frame width is 19.2mm; frame height 19.3mm; frame thickness 3mm. The pin is plain, with an off-centre suggestion of a division at junction of head and shaft. The front of the pin has slight bevelling; the back is flat. The head is simply wrapped around a cast restriction in the hoop. Overall pin length 21.1mm.
