Ten copper halfpence of which seven certainly of William III (1694-1701) and the others probably the same reign. Two are dated 1698 and 1699; remaining dates illegible. All of these coins show a good deal of circulation wear and it is likely that the group was lost or deposited during the middle or later years of the eighteenth century.

The finger-ring is near-complete, missing only some of the inlay. The hoop has a comparatively small diameter and is of rectangular section, with straight sides, which gradually diverge from the base to the bezel. The base of the hoop is undecorated while the remainder is decorated with three panels. Each side of the hoop is decorated with a trapezoidal panel containing a cross with wide terminals (Patee Cross). The area around the cross is recessed with some surviving traces of inlaid niello. Description The small oval matrix, in silver, retains the rectangular stub of the now missing handle, which was square in cross-section, on the reverse. The matrix is engraved with a cartouche bearing arms: cross engrailed with ermine in quarters, and scallop shell at cross base. The cartouche has three scrolls, and is flanked by two tapering motifs (staffs?), below small cups (chalices?). The reported object is the pin from a small silver annular brooch of stirrup type. The four facets of the pin shaft, which is of diamond cross-section, are incised with zig-zag lines. The wrap-around head of the pin, which would have secured it to the annular frame of the brooch, is missing, but the stirrups that prevented cloth from snagging are partially preserved (surviving width 15.6mm).

Silver gilt dress-hook with a lozenge-shaped back-plate cut from a sheet and cusped around the edge, to which (on the reverse) a separate hook and bar loop have been soldered. Attached to the front of the plate by solder is a hollow, lozenge-shaped silver gilt box with chamfered sides. The top is decorated with four single-strand 'rope-twist' filigree wire circlets, arranged around hollow hemispherical bosses, and small granulated pellets. Similar decoration occurs on the bevels. Gilding does not extend along the full length to the hook.

Decorative finger ring. The hoop is of flattened D cross-section, and has an internal diameter of 19mm. The outer surface is decorated with plain narrow diagonal bands separated by lines of beading. The band width is 4.7mm; weight 4.6g. The ring, which has unevenly worn inner and outer surfaces, has not undergone any cleaning or conservation.

A silver brooch, fashioned from a groat (fourpenny piece) of King Edward I, 1272-1307. The coin brooch takes the form of a disc brooch, diameter 29mm. On the reverse, the side visible when worn, are five collets - one central, the others evenly spaced round the rim, at 12 o'clock, etc, as viewed, in varying states of preservation; these presumably originally held glass, enamel or coloured stones, though none survives and no remains of adhesive material have been detected. It is broken across the hole for the rivet that would have secured it to the end of a leather strap.
