Small silver annular brooch. The silver frame is of quatrilobe form, with rounded mouldings in the angles between the lobes. The external frame width is 19.2mm; frame height 19.3mm; frame thickness 3mm. The pin is plain, with an off-centre suggestion of a division at junction of head and shaft. The front of the pin has slight bevelling; the back is flat. The head is simply wrapped around a cast restriction in the hoop. Overall pin length 21.1mm. The object has not undergone any cleaning or conservation

Post-Medieval silver pedestal type or fob seal matrix. The face is oval with a tapering fluted handle, crowned with a circular suspension loop. The engraved motif on the face comprises a heart surmounted by a series of radiating rays. The heart is pierced with a single flighted arrow pointing right (left in wax impression). Incomplete silver gilt decorative finger ring, bent outwards in the centre of the fragment. The hoop is of flattened D cross-section, within plain raised single band borders. The outer surface has a wide plain wavy band separating beaded panels, between the moulded edges of the hoop. The internal hoop diameter can be estimated at about 20mm; band width 7.9mm; band thickness 2.1mm; weight 3.42g. Silver object in the form of a trefoil-shaped blunt hooked clasp, fractured across trefoil, with traces of a repair on the hook. The hook has been flattened out, and no gilding is evident. The trefoil comprises three circular openwork back plates, to which twisted wire filigree circlets and pellets have been soldered. After the reverse of each had been filed flat, they were soldered together. Three twisted filigree decorated perforated circlets provide points of attachment to fabric. Ten copper halfpence of which seven certainly of William III (1694-1701) and the others probably the same reign. Two are dated 1698 and 1699; remaining dates illegible. All of these coins show a good deal of circulation wear and it is likely that the group was lost or deposited during the middle or later years of the eighteenth century.

It is broken across the hole for the rivet that would have secured it to the end of a leather strap. Functionally strap-ends existed to reinforce the free ends of leather belts and straps, such as the end of a belt opposite from the buckle, and in some instances to provide some extra weight to help the strap or belt-end hang properly.
