A near complete lead alloy toy pocket watch, dating from c.1800 to 1900. The object consists of a lead alloy (pewter or spelter) case, which is circular in plan with an attached hanging loop. Mounted into the front of the object is a circular glass disk which is surrounded by a concave border. The reverse features a design of concentric ridged circles. The toy watch is dark grey in colour, the glass is sea worn and has a frosted appearance. This example broadly falls into Forsyth and Egan's Type 12 (Forsyth and Egan, 2005, pages 380 to 383). The hoop is of circular section and has an internal diameter of 17mm and has a thickness of 3.1 – 3.5mm. The bezel is open-backed and the hoop divides into two curving arms of D-shaped section (1mm wide by 2-3mm deep) which define an oval opening (internal: 8.6 x 5.7mm, external:12.2 x 8.3mm). The bezel is off-set from the hoop. The fitting weighs 3.6g.

Fragment of a cast lead alloy (pewter) pot leg from a vessel such as a skillet, ewer or cauldron. The lower part of the leg and a central ridge survive. Pot legs of this type were used during the medieval and post-medieval periods; however, a close parallel, albeit cast in copper alloy, is provided by pot legs recovered from early sixteenth century deposits in Norwich (Margeson 1993, 93, no.565, fig.58).
