The cast brooch is of annular type and is near-complete, missing the pin but is now slightly distorted (with a diameter of 41.6mm – 42.6mm and a weight of 16.2g). The frame is of rectangular section (2.1mm – 2.6mm thick and 10.1mm – 11.3mm wide, producing an internal diameter of 19.8mm). One face of the brooch is decorated with somewhat irregular incised decoration comprising a double-segmented grooves resembling twisted cord decoration. Late medieval lead alloy or pewter brooch, probably of 13th to 15th century date
The cast brooch is near-complete, missing the pin and part of the outside of the frame (with a length of 33.8mm, a width of 30.0mm and a weight of 4.1g). The openwork brooch frame has a sub-circular central opening (16.4mm wide and 14.8mm long) around an zoomorphic openwork frame of D-shaped section (2.4mm thick). Medieval lead/tin alloy, probably pewter annular brooch of 13th to 14th century date
The cast brooch is near-complete, missing the pin but the frame is distorted and is now oval (31.0mm x 25.9mm, 2.6mm thick and weighing 2.0g). The frame is circular sectioned (1.7mm diameter) and is without a pin constriction or notch. The brooch is decorated with three triangular, or shield-shaped devices (7.3mm - 7.5mm long, 5.5mm wide and1.5mm thick) equidistantly placed and positioned on the top of the hoop. Roman lead alloy bow brooch of Colchester derivative Polden Hill (flat wing ends type, hinged pin, West Midlands) and of 1st or 2nd century AD date.The brooch is incomplete, missing the leg, catch-plate and pin (with a surviving length of 36.6mm, a surviving depth of 13.5mm and a weight of 24.3g).
