A complete forged copper alloy spiral finger ring of probable Iron Age to Roman date (c. 200BC-AD 410). The ring is of Guiraud Type 7 (Guiraud 1989, 195-6).
The ring is made from a forged bar of copper alloy 4.3- 4.8mm diameter wrapped around to form a ring, completing two full turns. The section of the bar is circular. The internal diameter of the ring is variable with a maximum of 22.1mm. The inner surface has a central seam stretching its length and visible in the terminal sections as a result of the forging process.

An incomplete cast copper alloy pinhead of probable Roman date (c.AD 43-410). The pin is comprised of the head and a fragment of the shaft (overall height 13.0mm). The head is globular, flat on the bottom, with four intersecting incised grooves forming a flower or star decoration (external diameter 6.7mm, height 3.2mm). The shank is circular in section (diameter 3.0mm, 9.2mm long) and terminates in a transverse break.
The object has a dark green patina and weighs 1.24g.
A direct parallel could not be found, but broadly similar pins were recovered from excavations at Colchester…

A near-complete, distorted copper alloy Colchester Derivative Polden Hill (CD PH) type brooch of Roman date (c. 75-175AD). The brooch belongs to Mackreth’s CD PH Type 5.b3. The brooch is intact except for the pin and parts of the catchplate.
The wings are rectangular in plan with plain concave front faces, with a hollow reverse and perforated sub-rectangular to sub-triangular wing caps. A complete, slightly distorted copper alloy child’s bracelet of probable broad Roman date (c. 43-410AD).
The bracelet comprises a single rectangular strip of 4.5mm wide, 2mm thick D-sectioned copper alloy bent into a flattened penannular hoop. The bracelet is twisted in the middle, pushing the terminals of the hoop out of alignment, but otherwise appears to be in its original configuration, with a height of c. 22.5mm, and an external diameter of 34.8mm and an internal diameter of c. 30mm. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman T-shaped brooch dating to the 1st-2nd century AD. The brooch is missing the lower portion of the bow, catch plate and pin with a surviving length 20.9mm. A fragment of the pin is hinged within tubular wings (width 23.9mm, 3.1mm diameter) decorated with a transverse incised groove at the wing terminals. A fragment of a copper alloy unidentified artefact, possibly a brooch, and Roman in age. The fragment has a hollow back and iron corrosion which resembles springs, this is at the widest point of the object (10.8mm). The sides then taper to a width of 1.7mm, the narrowest point in the fragment, right above the flared foot (3.8mm). On the front of the object, at the centre of the widest point, there are the remains of a stud where a vertical line coming from the foot and a horizontal line meet.
The fragment has a rough green and purple patina, and signs of iron corrosion on the back.

The hook is made from a single piece of wire bent and tapered flat at one end to form an 8mm long hook. Above the hook the wire has a sub-oval section 2.3mm wide and 1.8mm thick.
