Roman copper alloy brooch of Polden Hill type CD PH 5.a4 and dated 50-100 AD date. The brooch is fragmentary, missing the pin and leg (with a surviving length of 21.0mm, a surviving depth of 9.0mm and a weight of 4.7g). The missing spring was positioned within semi-tubular wings (with a width of 23.0mm and a diameter of 5.9mm) and the axis bar secured through the perforations in the end lugs. An incomplete copper alloy ‘miniature’ arched terret of Iron Age or Early Roman date (c. 100 BC-AD 200). The object consists of a fragment of the ring (4.5mm wide, 3.7mm thick) terminating in old breaks on each end. The top surface of the ring is decorated with moulded ridge spanning the surviving length. A moulded decorative motif sits atop the terret ring in the shape of two sweeping archways each terminating in knobs or ‘wings’ (6.7mm), with a rounded central knob (10.1mm wide). A cast copper alloy fragment of a Late Bronze Age sword dating to c.1000-800 BC. The fragment is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-oval in section with both ends terminating in old damage. An incomplete copper alloy transverse wing terret, probably of a triple projections type (Lewis 2015). It was likely originally D shaped in plan but at least half of the ring is missing.
