A near-complete cast lead pilgrim’s ampulla of Medieval date (AD 1300-1600). The ampulla is missing one loop and has a total length of 49.7mm. The expanded mouth is closed and sealed with a width of 26mm and 2.7mm thick at the seal (8.3mm thick before the seal) and appears to be complete. The neck is straight with small rounded loops projecting from side of the neck (one is missing in old damage) and connecting to the body. The body is curved with a max width of 34.7mm and max thickness 7.5mm.

An incomplete and damaged lead ampulla of Medieval date (c.AD 1350-1550). The ampulla comprises the circular base, which is damaged, missing the neck and mouth with surviving dimensions of 30.3mm diameter x 8.7mm thick and weighs 12.08g. Traces of a design in shallow relief preserve – on the more complete side, the design depicts an arc with a vertical line through the centre and a cross-hatched base below. A complete cast lead object, likely a weight or a uniface token, of post Medieval date (c.1500-1850). The object is circular in plan (diameter 32mm) with max thickness of 6.4mm. The obverse of the object has moulded letters I S (or S I) with a circular moulding between. Traces of a further moulded circumferential design preserve above and below the central legend, and may have been a further legend, but cannot be discerned due to surface corrosion. The obverse is a mottled medium patina, the reverse is mostly light grey/buff. The object weighs 40.03g.

A near complete cast copper alloy purse bar of Medieval date (early to mid 16th century AD). The purse bar is of Ward-Perkins (1940: 167-9, fig.52 no.B5) type and is near complete with a surviving length of 65.0mm. The central loop is squared in plan (22.4mm long x 14.9mm high) and the neck is decorated with a pair of moulded collars above and below a central sub-rectangular moulding. An incomplete knapped and pressure flaked barbed and tanged arrowhead Late neolithic to early bronze age (c. 2500 BC-1500 BC). Arrowheads such as this Sutton Type B arrowhead (Green 1980) are commonly associated with the emergence of the Beaker phenomenon in Britain.

A near-complete cast copper alloy zoomorphic mount in the design of an ox-head, probably a vessel escutcheon, of late Iron Age to early Roman date (c.100 BC – AD 100). The escutcheon depicts a stylized ox-head that is sub-rectangular in plan and profile (head length 37.4mm) with a circular loop (also rectangular in profile) extending from the top of the flattened head (17.4mm external diameter, 7.8mm internal diameter, 5.0mm thick). Two fragments of Pewter or copper alloy- one possible vessel rim. Little diagnostic but maybe a medieval or post medieval vessel.
A fragment 46.4mm long, 19.8mmwide and a maximum of 1.5mm thick, weighs 5.07g. The fragment has a channel beaten in lengthways with flanking ridges. One long edge is thinner that the other- 0.9mm vs 1.3mm. Possible vessel rim, but every edge is a break, and no other diagnostic features. Form of the sheet gives little indication as to shape due to distortion.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Colchester Derivative Hinged (CD H) brooch of Roman Date (c. 43-120 AD). The brooch is missing the foot, catchplate, most of the pin, and possibly some of the wings.
The perforated wings of the brooch are robust and fairly large, measuring 35.6mm from end to end, and roughly cylindrical in section, with a flattened reverse. The slot for the pin is equidistant to the wing tips, and still contains the loop for the pin and the axis bar that runs the full length of the wings. One wing is significantly thicker than the other- 6.7mm to 5.9mm.

An incomplete cast copper alloy brooch of Birdlip type, dating from the Late Iron Age to Early Roman Period (c. 30BC-AD60). The brooch is largely complete, with at least remnants of every main part: the only missing parts are the majority of the hinged pin and the openwork catchplate, as well as several parts of the original surface, much of which is in the process of delaminating as a result of corrosion. An incomplete cast lead or lead alloy button of Post Medieval date (c. AD1500-1700). The Button was likely originally sub-discoidal with a flat back and low conical front. The front of the button is decorated in crude moulded relief with four lines radiating from the centre. The rest of the design is less clear due to damage but includes pellets and lines intersecting with the radiating lines. The surviving section of rim is thickened to form a border. The reverse is undecorated and bears two irregular attachment scars where the loop would have joined.

A complete cast lead cloth seal of Post Medieval date (c.17th or 18th century AD). The seal comprises two sub-circular discs joined at one end by a folded strip. One side bears the relief of a lion passant reguardant (stepping left), 1 ½ above, 88 below. The other side depicts a low relief image of a monarch, possibly Charles II bust facing right with a legend reading [OF ENGL]AND around the edge. Similar cloth seals are illustrated in Egan 1994: 63, ref: 136. The object is a pale buff patina and measures 13.9mm x 16.6mm x 4.1mm, weight 2.63g.
