In cross section, the frame is oval and has no constriction for the pin, it measures 4.78mm wide and 4.22mm deep. The pin is oval in cross section and has an open loop attaching it to the frame. It is 46.31mm long and 4.75mm wide, narrowing to 3.71mm, and ending in a blunt point. The buckle has a grey patina with areas of blackening and pale copper-green corrosion.

Medieval lead ampulla of 14th to 16th century date The ampulla is incomplete, missing one side of the neck and the loops (with a length of 60.4 and a weight of 53.4g). The surviving side of the neck are concave, flaring to the mouth (with a surviving width of 15mm and a depth of 7.9mm) which is open. Near the base of the neck is the stub of the suspension loop, with the lower stub below the top of the side of the body. Medieval lead seal The seal is near-complete missing the handle (with a surviving depth of 11.9mm and a weight of 24.0g). The handle stub is circular sub-sectioned (5mm – 6.mm diameter and with a surviving height of 7.5mm), turning at the break and appears to have been cut. Medieval lead pilgrim’s ampulla of 14th to 16th century date The ampulla is near-complete missing one loop and part of the mouth (with a length of 46.1mm and a weight of 41.0g). The expanded mouth is open (with a width of 28.0mm and a depth of 9mm) but has a groove from pressed-closing on the obverse face. The neck is oval sectioned with concave sides (with a width and thickness of 18mm and 10.8mm respectively), there is no decoration evident on the neck.
