Cast copper alloy fitting of uncertain date and function. The fitting has broken at one end and the upper surface near the sides appears unfinished. The fitting is oval at 25.6mm long, 30.7mm wide and has a surviving depth of 18mm. The fitting weighs 19.6g. The patina is consistent and dark green in colour. It is possible the fitting is a spout for a vessel, possibly of Iron Age date, where the piece may have slotted into the rim (around the ‘unfinished’ side slots). Copper alloy bow brooch of Middle Iron Age date, of La Téne I and Hull’s Type 1A and dating from c. 400 – 300BC. The brooch is near complete, missing only c. 30mm from the end of the pin. The brooch has a wide spring with an external diameter of between 18.5 and 19.0mm. The spring has an external chord made with wire of 2.2mm diameter and loops twice either side of the bow. Incomplete copper alloy end-looped mortar from a cosmetic set of early Roman date, probably from the 1st or 2nd century AD. Little of the surface survives on the mortar, and no decoration is evident. The end loop is complete and integral, and is positioned beneath the bow. The loop has a circular to oval section, and is thinnest at the point opposite the bow. The groove is now U-shaped and shallow (1.5mm).

Cast copper alloy bow brooch of uncertain type. This would appear to be the bow from a brooch which has been constructed to fit together in two parts. The head does not appear to be broken, but has two grooves, possibly to accommodate the wings and spring or hinge mechanism. An elaborate copper alloy terret with a hoop with a 'tear-shaped' profile, growing longer as it approaches the oval stops and circular at the top. The bar has been roughly cast and has a thin oval cross section. Cast copper alloy strap union formed by a raised reverse S-scroll, the back of which is flat, enclosing two circular bosses 11mm in diameter and with two vertical strap bars, of circular section, attached by oval shaped lugs. The entire surface of the strap-union is quite corroded and pitted. Fragment of a bow brooch consisting of the lower part of a flat narrow tapering bow, slightly curved in profile, embellished with a shallow channel adjacent to each edge. Part of small catch-plate survives. Surviving length 36mm, surviving maximum width 6.5mm, weight 1.5 grams. The simple form of the flat bow and small catch-plate suggest that this was probably part of a Strip Bow brooch.
