An incomplete Post Medieval gold ring, dating from the mid-18th, to mid-19th century, c.1750 to 1850. The ring has a fluted bezel which is formed around the ring’s hoop. The bezel is crushed and the stone is no longer present. The bezel measures 3.39mm high, 6.11mm wide and 2.77mm deep. The ring hoop has a current outer diameter (excluding bezel) of 15.83mm and an inner diameter of 13.65mm, it is circular in cross section. An incomplete cast copper alloy Colchester Derivative brooch Polden Hill type of Roman date (c.1st-2nd century AD). An incomplete copper alloy Medieval seal matrix of 13th century date. The seal matrix is complete except for its top end point, suspension loop and raised reverse rib. This large seal matrix is of flat type and is pointed oval (vesica) in plan, though missing the upper point to damage. The reverse of the matrix is flat and undecorated, with a central solder scar 56.2mm long from the broken edge representing where the raised rib has detached. An incomplete Roman cast copper alloy brooch, of Colchester derivative Polden Hill type, dating from c. AD 120-240. The object consists of the head and the bow of the brooch. The axis bar, spring and pin are missing. It is irregular in plan, broadly comma shaped in profile, and irregular in cross section. A complete Medieval copper alloy buckle, dating from c. AD 1250 to 1400. The buckle frame is circular in plan and measures 41.69mm in diameter. In cross section, the frame is oval and has no constriction for the pin, it measures 4.78mm wide and 4.22mm deep. The pin is oval in cross section and has an open loop attaching it to the frame. It is 46.31mm long and 4.75mm wide, narrowing to 3.71mm, and ending in a blunt point. The buckle has a grey patina with areas of blackening and pale copper-green corrosion.

An incomplete Post Medieval copper hooked tag or dress hook, dating from c. 1500 to 1600. The object has a decorative open work plate which is broadly circular in plan, measuring 15.48mm in diameter. The plate features a six petaled flower motif which is surrounded by a beaded border made up of 12 beads. Coming out from one of the beads is a small remanent of the attachment loop. A complete trade weight, of probable Medieval to Post Medieval date. The object is circular in plan, measuring 31.22mm in diameter. It has one decorated face, with an indistinct design, the reverse face has a circular depression which creates a raised rim. The sides are of variable height ranging from 6.27 mm to 7.61mm. The object has an overall light to mid-grey colour with some areas of cream patina.

A denarius of Carausius dating to the period AD 286 to 293 (Reece Period 14), PAX AVG, Pax standing left with branch and vertical sceptre. Unattributed mint. The obverse legend is likely to be [IMP CAR]AVSIVS P F AVG which equates to RIC V, pt 2, Carausius 719.  This is the third example of this particular type in Sam Moorhead's corpus for the new RIC on Carausius, but has no die-links with the other coins.
