A complete forged copper alloy spiral finger ring of probable Iron Age to Roman date (c. 200BC-AD 410). The ring is of Guiraud Type 7 (Guiraud 1989, 195-6). The ring is made from a forged bar of copper alloy 4.3- 4.8mm diameter wrapped around to form a ring, completing two full turns. The section of the bar is circular. The internal diameter of the ring is variable with a maximum of 22.1mm. An incomplete cast copper alloy pinhead of probable Roman date (c.AD 43-410). The pin is comprised of the head and a fragment of the shaft (overall height 13.0mm). The head is globular, flat on the bottom, with four intersecting incised grooves forming a flower or star decoration (external diameter 6.7mm, height 3.2mm). The shank is circular in section (diameter 3.0mm, 9.2mm long) and terminates in a transverse break.  The object has a dark green patina and weighs 1.24g. A near-complete, distorted copper alloy Colchester Derivative Polden Hill (CD PH) type brooch of Roman date (c. 75-175AD). The brooch belongs to Mackreth’s CD PH Type 5.b3. A complete, slightly distorted copper alloy child’s bracelet of probable broad Roman date (c. 43-410AD). The bracelet comprises a single rectangular strip of 4.5mm wide, 2mm thick D-sectioned copper alloy bent into a flattened penannular hoop. The bracelet is twisted in the middle, pushing the terminals of the hoop out of alignment, but otherwise appears to be in its original configuration, with a height of c. 22.5mm, and an external diameter of 34.8mm and an internal diameter of c. 30mm. Description of the finds Silver crossbow brooch, complete and well preserved with little sign of corrosion, apart from the pin, which is of copper alloy and only survives as badly corroded fragments. The knob at the head is quasi-onion shape rising from a double ridged collar. The arms are a hexagonal tube that houses a copper alloy axial bar for the pin, which was hinged. Description of the find About half of a finger ring with a flat elongated oval bezel and the remains of plain loop tapering away from the bezel. The bezel is decorated with a crudely scratched motif, probably intended to be a stylized palm branch. Dimensions: internal diameter 17mm; bezel 11mm (long) by 6mm (wide); weight 1.7g. Description of the find Small silver object consisting of a small circular bowl on a long slender shaft that tapers to a point. The bowl is now at virtually a right angle to the shaft and the shaft is bent again about two-thirds along its length, but originally all would probably have been aligned.
