The axe is complete and is comparatively small (with an overall length of 125.9mm and weighing 112.3g), with some recent damage to a blade tip and to the butt. The butt is rounded and slender (with a width of 18mm) with some flaking scars evident, mostly patinated. The sides are moderately straight, slightly convex and gradually widening towards the blade edge (where the axe has a maximum width of 40.4mm). Late Bronze Age socketed spearhead of Davis' (2015) Type 11A, which covers Generic pegged spearheads with flame-shaped blades, dating to the Wilburton or Ewart Park metalworking industry (c.1120-800 BC) (following Needham et al. 1997). The spearhead is complete and retains the sediment in the socket (with a length of 159mm and with a weight of 144.7g, including sediment and 126.2g without). Roman copper alloy bow brooch of Trumpet type and of 1st or 2nd century AD date The brooch is incomplete, missing the spring and pin (with a length of 52.5mm, a depth of 26.8mm and a weight of 13.4g). The missing spring was secured around a single perforated lug at the rear of the head. The trumpet head is oval (14.3mm long and 10.8mm high) with a flat and undecorated border around the upper bow.
