A near-complete cast copper alloy ingot of possible Early Medieval date. The ingot is sub-oval in plan and section with straight sides and curved ends measuring 51.7mm in length and 12mm in width. Soft hammer marks are visible as irregularities in the thickness of the ingot. The thickest point of the ingot measures 5.8mm and tapers gradually towards the ends which measure 3.7mm and 4.1mm thick. The surface is plain and undecorated. The pendant is made of two parts, a near-intact c.2mm thick facing sheet of decorated copper alloy set into an incomplete iron backing.
