Roman copper alloy bow brooch, probably of Polden Hill Type and dating to the late 1st - early 2nd century AD. The brooch is incomplete, missing the pin, one wing and the catch plate. The brooch has a length of 58.40mm. The surviving wing suggests that the brooch employed a spring mechanism with a Polden Hill type arrangement. Bronze tanged chisel of Middle Bronze Age date, c.1500 - 1100BC. The chisel is comparatively small, with a distorted length of 50.83mm (c. 54mm undistorted). The artefact is thickest at its middle (at 3.18mm) and thins to the blade and tang end. The sides are divergent and straight along the tang and gently curved along the blade. Two co-joining blade fragments from a sword of Bronze Age date. None of the diagnostic features are present on the blade fragments, but the sword is likely to be a Ewart Park type sword of the Ewart Park metalworking tradition, c. 950 - 750BC. The fitting is oval at 25.6mm long, 30.7mm wide and has a surviving depth of 18mm. The fitting weighs 19.6g. The patina is consistent and dark green in colour. It is possible the fitting is a spout for a vessel, possibly of Iron Age date, where the piece may have slotted into the rim (around the ‘unfinished’ side slots).
