Strap fitting, possibly associated with a sword. The mount has been cast and is composed of a circular lobed terminal, the ring has an irregular X-shaped hole in the centre, probably to engage a button or boss on a corresponding plate. There is a further smaller ring position at an angle along the edge. The body of the mount tapers to a rounded point and is concave and hollow. The body is composed of five rounded mouldings with two attachment holes, surrounded by iron corrosion.

Head fragment of a bow brooch, probably of T-shape type. The fragment consists of the top of the bow, which is straight sided, and is thinning at the break. The bow is angled at the head, before another break on the plate. The wings are tubular with a flat face at the front, and decorated at each end with two incised lines. The top of the pin survives, with the brooch employing a hinge mechanism.

Cast copper alloy sword or dagger chape, probably of late Medieval or Early Post-Medieval date. The chape has one straight side and one curved to follow the shape of the blade. The top of the chape is serrated and has corresponding decorative holes bounded by a horizontal rib. The bottom of the chape has a small knop. The rear has a wide seam to enable soldering to the back plate. The surface is covered with coarse file marks running horizontally, and has a black colour or patina, which may have been deliberately applied.

Fragment of a cast copper alloy (probably bronze) socketed axe with a splayed and curved blade. The fragment was apparently broken and distorted in antiquity. Microscopic examination suggests the fragment is encrusted wuth ferrous and manganese oxide corrosion products presumably derived from the burial environment. Original blade width c.51mm, surviving height of fragment 40.5mm, maximum surviving thickness 13.5mm, weight 66.2g.

This bronze casting jet represents the by-product of the manufacture of a socketed axe. The jet is of a roughly circular form and displays all four runners. The four runners together with its geographic location strongly hint at the jet being removed from an axe of type Storgursey or 'South Wales Type'. The patina on the casting jet varies from a brown to light green and the jet now displays a sheen due to polish or lacquer applied by the finder. Medieval copper alloy annular brooch of 13th or 14th century date The brooch is near-complete, missing the pin and settings. The frame is circular with an external diameter of 47.3mm (30.3mm internal). The brooch frame comprises a plain outer bevelled edge, leading to the central ring with eight raised collets. The collets are irregular and oval (up to 8.7mm by 6.2mm) and give the brooch a maximum thickness of 7.34mm. All but one of the collets contains a white calcium deposit. Roman copper alloy bow brooch of Dolphin type and probably of mid to late 1st century AD date The brooch is incomplete and is represented by the head and upper bow, with a surviving length of 29.26mm and weighs 20.4g. Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, probably of 15th century date The matrix is near complete, missing only the top of the loop, and has a surviving height of 22.95mm. The handle is hexagonally faceted, ending in three horizontal ribs before the loop. The seal die is slightly oval with a length of 18.45mm and a width of 17.15mm. The die is inscribed with a large letter ‘W’, and crowned with a cross. Along the border are a series of decorative chevrons. The seal matrix weighs 8.1g. The copper alloy has a pale to mid brown patina.

Roman glass vessel neck fragment, probably of late 1st or 2nd century AD date The vessel is incomplete and is represented by the neck only with a surviving height of 18.30mm. The rim is irregular and damaged; it curves outward to produce a rim diameter of 26.82mm. The neck is short (10.5mm) with a diameter of 17.91mm. The shoulder of the vessel is at a near-right angle to the neck. The rim and neck form would suggest a bottle. The glass is blue green and translucent, but not clear. The vessel neck weighs 6.2g.

Roman copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth 2011, Part 3, Group 4.a, flat wing ends type), dating to the late 1st -early 2nd century AD The brooch is fragmentary and is represented by the head and upper bow only and has a surviving length of 35.44mm. The spring was secured with a Polden Hill arrangement. Only one of the wings survives, with a width of 22.12mm, suggesting an original width of approximately 29.3mm.
