The owner’s initials are surmounted by a six pointed star (some soil remains in engraved design). The handle takes the form of a dolphin whose tail forms a circular loop for a suspension chain of ribbon. The oval matrix has a single engraved rope border, and measures 13.5mm x 16.08mm. The reported object is a small closed thimble made of silver sheet, with the separate crown soldered to the main body. It is complete, although damaged with horizontal, concentric bands of uniformly executed annulets on the external surface and the same annulet pattern on the crown, set in lines.
