Fragment of axe blade with a straight front face while the rear face, although straight at first, sweeps back to from a wide cutting edge. The axe blade has a triangular longitudinal section. Part of the cutting edge, most of the socket and the poll are missing and the remaining portion of the axe is heavily corroded. It is not possible to identify with the naked eye the weld line where one side of the socket is joined to the blade.
