Modern wood and ferrous pistol of 19th century date The pistol was of percussion type with folding trigger and is complete (with an overall length of 160mm and a weight of 241.2g). The pistol was made by Freeman of London and is of 12mm (0.5 inch) calibre. The barrel is ferrous (with a length of 58mm and an external diameter of 18 - 19mm).
