A cast copper alloy buckle of Medieval date (c. 1300-1450). The buckle consists of a single sub-circular loop frame with central bar with overall measurements of 30.7mm long x 28.8mm wide with a max thickness of 2.4mm. The frame is missing the pin. The negative space in the frame is asymmetrical, whether this was intentional or not is unclear. The buckle is decorated on both ends with unevenly spaced incised lines transverse along both ends of the frame. An incomplete cast copper alloy buckle of medieval date (likely 14th century AD).The buckle consists only of a small rectangular frame with a narrowed bar and two grooves flanking the notch for the pin on the expanded outside edge. There is no evidence of a plate and the pin is missing. The frame is slightly trapezoidal, but with somewhat convex top and bottom edges. The top and bottom edges have a small ridge at each corner, which is typical of 14th century buckles. The object bears a dark patina, with small areas of the original green patinated surface.
