Description The object is a decorative gold ring with a deep oval bezel (height 5.7mm), once set with a small uncut (cabochon) stone, perhaps a sapphire. There is a small transverse ridge on each side of the bezel at the junction with the hoop, and the lower half of the bezel is chamfered to give a truncated biconical profile. Roman copper- alloy finger-ring with keeled shoulders, probably of 3rd century date The cast finger-ring is fragmentary, missing most of the band, one shoulder and the bezel surviving (with a surviving width of 18.5mm. a surviving height of 10.1mm and a weight of 2.8g). Decorative gold ring with a projecting oval bezel of lunate form, set with a small uncut (en cabochon) turquoise. There is a small transverse gold ledge on each side of the bezel at the junction with the hoop, decorated with parallel engraved lines ('combed' fashion). The object is a decorative silver gilt finger ring. The hoop, which is of flattened D cross-section, has a break and is distorted. The outer surface is decorated with narrow bands comprising an engraved ring dot with four short 'spokes' (?stylized flower or star), separated by bands of raised dotes (each having eight rows). Cast copper alloy finger ring of Roman date. The hoop and particularly the bezel is comparatively thin for Roman rings. The hoop is plain and expands towards the bezel. The oval intaglio or glass setting is missing and was glued to the surface of the bezel, rather than being set within a recessed cell. The intaglio was surrounded by a faceted border on the ring, and elsewhere is plain. The ring has some distortion in the hoop.

Near complete gold mourning finger ring of Post-Medieval date. The ring is distorted but is otherwise in good condition. The hoop comprises of four S-shaped barbed scrolls carrying an inscription on the exterior. The first S-scroll is shorter than the others and simply carries the letter W. The next S-scroll has: HARRISON, followed by: OB2SEPT, and finally: 1761AE69. Indicating the finger ring was to commemorate W. Harrison, who died on the 2nd September 1761, aged 69.
