A complete forged copper alloy spiral finger ring of probable Iron Age to Roman date (c. 200BC-AD 410). The ring is of Guiraud Type 7 (Guiraud 1989, 195-6). The ring is made from a forged bar of copper alloy 4.3- 4.8mm diameter wrapped around to form a ring, completing two full turns. The section of the bar is circular. The internal diameter of the ring is variable with a maximum of 22.1mm. An incomplete cast copper alloy pinhead of probable Roman date (c.AD 43-410). The pin is comprised of the head and a fragment of the shaft (overall height 13.0mm). The head is globular, flat on the bottom, with four intersecting incised grooves forming a flower or star decoration (external diameter 6.7mm, height 3.2mm). The integrally cast pestle has a bird-headed loop at one end, measuring 12.8mm in diameter and 3.4mm wide, with the loop having a faceted oval cross section c. 3.4-4.0mm thick.
