Copper alloy blade fragment of uncertain date
The blade is fragmentary, broken at one end (with a surviving length of 51.9mm and a weight of 6.0g). The blade is of oval section (with a width of 9.8mm and a thickness of 2.7mm at the break) and subtle midrib flanked by gently concave blade edges. Both sides are edged and one side is subtly concave, while the opposite side is very gently convex, although it is unclear whether the form is through design or differential wear.
