An incomplete cast copper alloy brooch of Headstud type, dating to the Roman period (c. 75-200 AD). The brooch is heavily worn and difficult to identify a subtype. The brooch is missing its foot, catchplate, mechanism, pin, much of the wings and the composite headstud itself, while the surface of the bow is heavily damaged. An incomplete cast copper alloy vessel foot of Roman date. The object is crudely pelta shaped, with a central triangular projection and flanking lobes on one edge, the other being convex. The object is covered by soil, with areas of corrosion disrupting the dark green patinated surface. One end of the object is broken, leading to a reduced length.
