Post medieval lead inkwell of 17th to 18th century date The inkwell is complete with some surface damage (with a length of 44.0mm and a weight of 254.8g). The base is flat and sub-circular with nine bold ribs (giving a diameter of 40.6mm - 13.0mm). The base appears to be inscribed with monograms, with possibly two represented with differing styles and form. The central, deeper and initial monogram appears to be NT, and is flanked by NJ, but with an inconsistent orientation. Medieval lead seal matrix, dating to the 13th century The seal matrix is pointed oval in shape and is near-complete with some recent damage to the base with a surviving length of 38.20mm and a maximum width of 23.45mm. The matrix is flat and is slightly distorted along its length and has a single pierced lug on the reverse (15.2mm long, 4.9mm wide and 7.6mm deep), which is a little damaged and crooked. Incomplete Medieval lead pilgrim’s ampulla, probably dating from the 13th to the 15th century. The ampulla is in poor condition with many fractures over the body and with the neck missing. The obverse face depicts a scallop shell design with fine closely placed grooves and a smooth edge, which defines the ampulla as a Spencer’s (1990) type II. The scallop design was bordered by a raised horizontal moulding. The stub of the loop may be visible on one of the sides, immediately before the break. Incomplete papal bulla, probably dating to the 13th century. The bulla has broken along the centre, at the point where the cord passed through. The obverse is of the standard form, depicting the bearded head of Saint Paul pictured beneath the legend S P A. The reverse is difficult to determine because of the fragmentary nature of the bulla. The top line would appear to end in a rounded letter E, the middle row ends with the letter S, with a vertical or near-vertical stroke preceding the S, possibly an I. Undecorated, perforated, discoidal lead weight. The faces of the weight are slightly dished. Diameter 22-23mm, thickness 6mm, weight 16.2 grams. Crudely cast weights like this example are difficult to date. Excavated examples range in date from the medieval period until the nineteenth century.

Two-sided lead or lead alloy (pewter) token. It is crudely made and probably cast. On obverse side monogram design the initials "RS" (note that the S is reversed); on reverse side pictorial design of a rider on a horse with his right arm raised. Some modern scratching on reverse side; presumably, made by finder. The form of the letters suggests an early sixteenth to eighteenth century date. Diameter 15.5-16.5mm, weight 6.0grams.

Cast lead cover from a powder holder. Distorted but complete cylinder, closed at one end, with two attachment loops set at opposite sides of the cap. Traces of two casting seams on opposite sides of the cap suggest that it was cast in a two-part mould. Diameter of top of cap 20mm; depth of cap 16-18mm. Mid seventeenth century in date.
