Copper alloy fragment, probably the outside edge fragment of a medieval buckle
The probable buckle is fragmentary, distorted and is incomplete (with a surviving length of 57.7mm and a weight of 14.7g) and was likely to be of oval or D-shaped form. The frame was of oval section, widest on the outside edge (with a width of 11.0mm and a thickness of 6.3mm). The rear of the outside edge was bevelled.
