The object is a small silver annular brooch with niello decoration on both sides of the frame, which is circular in cross-section. The frame decoration comprises at least three groups transverse lines on both sides, all inlaid with niello. The pin shaft is incised with a 'wriggle work' zig-zag line on each facet. The wrap-around head of the pin securing it to the annular frame of the brooch is plain. There is a small 'bar' at the junction of pin shaft and head (width 5mm), to prevent snagging. The object is a silver bodkin-type dress-pin with slot and perforation (eye) at one end, and tapering to a point at the other end. The shaft has a flattened quadrangular cross-section with bevelled edges, and is undecorated. On one face, below the slot, is a stamped hallmark .W. The pin is bent, and has not received any conservation. Length overall 109.2mm; maximum width 3.8mm; maximum thickness 2mm; weight 6.47g. Description: Gilded silver heart-shaped pendant engraved with the symbols of Christ's wound. The front is made from a sheet raised in repoussé style into a dome, and vertically grooved at the top to make a heart shape. The penannular arm-ring fragment is of Hiberno-Viking type, and has the form of a broad flat band of silver or rectangular cross-section, 3mm deep, with punched ornament on one face. Description The reported object is a silver chape from a scabbard of a narrow-bladed weapon. It is formed of thin sheet metal, bent into a narrow tubular profile which tapers to a rounded tip. The silver object is a flattened fragment of penannular arm-ring of Hiberno-Viking type, now in two conjoining pieces. It has the form of a broad flat band of silver of rectangular cross-section, and in plan.
