Medieval Copper alloy hinged mount of c. 13th -15th century date The mount is of rectangular form and is missing the hinged component (56.3mm long, 12.8mm wide, 1.7mm thick and weighing 8.1g). The hinge is formed by folding the sheet plate, with an iron axis bar (5.0mm deep) and slot to accommodate the corresponding part of the hinge. A separate dome-headed rivet secured the end of the folded hinge and protrudes further, probably a fixing to secure the mount (6.6mm long). Post medieval copper alloy belt or strap mount of 16th or 17th century date The mount is complete and of figurative form with a trefoil terminal (with a length of 19.2mm and a weight of 1.8g). The mount is widest at the trefoil terminal (with a width of 11.9mm) and has concave sides below, before narrowing at the base. The mount was attached using two integral, oval-sectioned rivets, closed around a strap (with a height of 6.1mm and giving an overall depth of 8.1mm). The surface has a black patina.

Probably part of a cast copper alloy strap-type box mount. The mount is cast in copper alloy (probably bronze) with a central perforation and what appears to be a tapering terminal or knop but is where the mount has been broken. It is gilded on its upper surface and decorated with four probably white glass, rather than pearl, beads inset into the four corners of the main plate. Microscopic examination suggests that the underside of the mount was not gilded. Length 34mm, width 11mm, thickness 3.5mm, weight 3.9grams.
