Incomplete papal bulla, probably dating to the 13th century. The bulla has broken along the centre, at the point where the cord passed through. The obverse is of the standard form, depicting the bearded head of Saint Paul pictured beneath the legend S P A. The reverse is difficult to determine because of the fragmentary nature of the bulla. The top line would appear to end in a rounded letter E, the middle row ends with the letter S, with a vertical or near-vertical stroke preceding the S, possibly an I. The bottom row ends with the characters I I I I.
