Early Medieval gilt copper alloy disc mount of Anglo Saxon style from a strap, possibly of a harness and of 6th to 7th century date The cast mount is of circular form (27.5mm diameter and 9.2g) and is near-complete, possibly missing part of the rear loops. The face of the mount has a flat thin border around the rim (2.0mm thick) before a circular rib, now corroded but possibly originally beaded. Early Medieval copper alloy strap-end of Thomas’ (2003, p 2)[1] Class A, Type 1 and probably of late-8th to 9th century date The strap-end is near-complete, missing the attachment end but is heavily worn and corroded (with a length of 36.0mm and a weight of 4.2g). Late Roman or Early Medieval copper alloy buckle plate of 4th to 7th century date The buckle plate is near-complete but the frame and pin are missing (with a surviving length of 39.5mm, a thickness of 3.2mm and a weight of 9.5g). Copper alloy fragmentary mount, probably an Early Medieval harness mount of c. 11th century date The mount is fragmentary, represented by a fragmentary loop, an arm with decorative boss and fragmentary plate (with a surviving length of 25.8mm and a weight of 7.4g). The loop edge is curved, suggesting a circular or oval loop. The sides of loop were of oval section (5.0mm x 2.0mm). Complete Late Saxon cast copper alloy stirrup-strap mount, of class A, type 7 (Williams 1997), probably dating from 11th to 12th century. The mount is sub-triangular in shape with two pairs of lugs on the sides. The apex is rounded and pointed, and has suffered from erosion. These terminals typically incorporate a zoomorphic design, and a number of low ridges visible on the terminal are likely to be the remnants of facial features.
