Obverse: Dobunnic tree symbol, pellet at base, on plain field. Reverse: Triple-tailed horse right with six-spoked wheel below, COMVX (upside down) above. ABC, p. 105, no. 2054; BMC nos. 3061-3063. Post Medieval gold finger ring dated 1708. The finger ring is a mourning ring and contains significant traces of black enamel set around an intricate floral motif. The hoop is of a low D-shaped section. The interior of the band is inscribed with: DC 12 May 1708 The inscription is followed by a maker’s mark consisting of ‘IG’ over ‘S’ within a heart shaped punch; followed by ‘C’ within a punched circle.
