A complete Post Medieval cast copper alloy mount, dating c. AD 1600 to 1800. The mount is broadly circular in plan and features a quatrefoil design of four openwork hearts radiating outwards. The reverse is undecorated, with a single central attachment pin. The pin is broadly square in cross section and has been bent.. The overall patina is mid-grey, with areas of green corrosion. Soil deposits remain on the objects surface.

An incomplete Post Medieval gold ring, dating from the mid-18th, to mid-19th century, c.1750 to 1850. The ring has a fluted bezel which is formed around the ring’s hoop. The bezel is crushed and the stone is no longer present. The bezel measures 3.39mm high, 6.11mm wide and 2.77mm deep. The ring hoop has a current outer diameter (excluding bezel) of 15.83mm and an inner diameter of 13.65mm, it is circular in cross section. A copper alloy fragment representing the back case of a pocket watch of probable late 17th-early 19th century date. The watch fragment is sub circular in plan, with a domed external surface made of a single piece of copper alloy c. 1.8mm thick. The centre of the case is destroyed, leaving a jagged edged uneven hole in the centre of the plate. The fitting is comprised of a near-complete plate (surviving length 66.1mm x width 32mm x 3.3mm thick), slightly convex in section, with three integrally cast rounded suspension hoops with large circular apertures projecting from the bottom (internal hoop diameter 5.8mm). A fragmentary Post Medieval ceramic sherd from a vessel base, probably a handled cup/mug (‘tyg’) or jar, of 17th century AD date. The fragment is black glazed red ‘Cistercian’ ware with a surviving height of 21.0mm and width of 33.7mm. A sharp fragment is adhered to the inside surface of the base indicating an explosion in the kiln or misfire likely damaged this vessel beyond repair. The fragment has a smooth black glaze with a reddish fabric and weighs 8.85g. A similar fragment can be seen Gloucester pottery fabric type series (potsherd.net)

The weight is flat and discoidal with a raised rim around the upper surface which is stamped with the marks of a crowned WM (for William and Mary), an Ewer (for the London Founder's Company) and a sword (the sword of St. Paul for the City of London Guildhall).
