A complete copper alloy toggle of late Medieval to Post-Medieval date (AD 1500-1700). The object is pointed oval shape with a circular cross section. Both ends narrow to rounded point. The centre of the object has two short transverse grooves on each outer edge. The back of the object is flat and undecorated. Length: 42.05mm, Width: 10.29mm, Thickness: 6.17mm, Weight: 10.0g The metal is dark green in colour with a slightly pitted patina.
