A complete cast copper-alloy double loop buckle of medieval date (c.AD 1350-1400). The object consists of two oval loops separated by a central bar. The bar has mouldings on each end. The mouldings are triangular pin plan and rectangular in section and are the only decoration present. The pin is wrapped around the bar and tapers to a point. A complete copper alloy buckle dating to the medieval to post medieval period (c.AD 1350-1650). The buckle has an annular frame with a D-shaped section; a strap bar is centred across the frame. The pin is iron and partially survives as the loop that attached the pin to the frame. The frame is worn and corroded, no decorative details are clear. The object has a mid green patina. A mostly complete copper alloy buckle dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1660-1720). The buckle is trapezoidal in form with concave sides and rounded ends; the spindle is attached separately. Both ends present two moulded traverse grooves and a moulded be-fold crescent at each end of the spindle. The chape and pin are missing from the spindle. The reverse is undecorated and is slightly concave. The buckle has a smooth dark green patina. Half of the frame is missing from the bar and the pin is also missing. The object has a silver patina so likely has a high tin content. An incomplete cast copper-alloy buckle of post-medieval date (c.AD 1620-1690). The sub-rectangular buckle has an openwork frame and is symmetrical. There is a small sub-triangular projection at each end of the bar as well as of the pin rest. Above the pin rest is an openwork triangular extension of the frame with a rounded knop at its apex flanked by two further smaller knops. The pin is missing. Dimensions: Length 53.8, Width 28.3mm, Thickness 4.4mm, Weight 10.96g. Similar examples can be found in Whitehead’s buckles (2003, p. 80).

An incomplete cast copper-alloy buckle of medieval date (c.AD 1400-1500). The buckle would have been sub-rectangular in plan when completed, however much of the frame on one of the loops has been lost, the other remains entirely intact. The buckle is decorated on ither side of the bar as well as at the centre of the pin rest with a moulded decoration that takes the same of two curvilinear lines intersected by a pellet.
