An incomplete and possible mis-cast copper alloy disc brooch. The brooch can be classified as Weetch's Type 5, with concentric circles, which she dates to the 10th century (2013, vol 1, 78).
Originally the brooch would have been circular, with a slightlyconvex front decorated with a series of cast designs; at the centre of the brooch is a large raised boss with a central pellet, surrounding this is a circle formed from small pellets enclosed by a raised rib / ring. A copper alloy zoomorphic Anglo-Saxon hook from a hanging bowl. The object is curved in profile and is elaborately cast in the form of a beast, possibly a dog.
The terminal of the beast has an elongated snout which is D-shaped in cross-section. Sitting above the snout within a raised border or collet are two circular eyes formed out of green glass. The glass is degraded and appears 'frosted', but is translucent when a light is shone across. Between and joining the eyes are two moulded ridges separated with a groove. An incomplete copper alloy late lobed sword pommel of Early Medieval date, c.10th-11th century. Petersen L type VI.
The base of the object would have rested upon a concave pommel bar. The interior of the pommel has an oval opening at the base and converging sides towards the oval aperture at the apex of the pommel. This would have accommodated the protruding sword tang.

A fragment of a copper alloy object of uncertain date. The fragment is curved in plan and is oval in cross-section. One face of the object is decorated with a curvilinear or wave-like pattern with each 'wave' facing the opposite way. It is likely that this pattern would have repeated. The object tapers in width at one end measuring 6mm in width and is wider at the opposite end which measures 11mm in width.

An early-medieval copper-alloy styca of Aethelred II of Northumbria (probably first reign, 840 - 844), moneyer: Odilo. Ref: Pirie 1996.
The obverse central motif on the reverse is a cross pattee (Pirie motif 1), on the reverse a cross of pellets (Pirie motif 6) .
The spelling of Aethelred appears to be EDILRED (L inverted) placing it into Pirie's group C although Odilo is not listed for this group,

A lead alloy spindle whorl of medieval date. The object is circular in plan and biconical with a central circular perforation. The perforation has an internal diameter of 9mm. Each face is decorated with letters and pellets.
On one face the letters read (AXVYOXY), while on the opposite face they read (AOXXYATVAIV). This possible lettering appears to have no pattern and is indecipherable. An incomplete copper-alloy Late Early-Medieval stirrup strap-mount of Williams Class B, Type 3 dating to c.1000-1100.
The mount is openwork and zoomorphic in form with a trapezoidal shape. The flange angles downwards and outwards. The strap mount has a single, moulded central head with prominent snout, brow-ridge and annulet eyes. Projecting from the head is a moulded pair of antlers or perhaps ears. An incomplete early medieval hooked tag with nielloed ornament. The hooked tag has a circular plate with the remains of a projecting attachment hole at one end, and a complete hook at the other. The plate has a beaded incised border and a central incised motif filled with niello. The finder details are difficult to make out due to its present condition, but the snout and eye of at least one Trewhiddle style beast is discernible. The back of the hooked tag is plain.

A copper alloy pin dating to the Early Medieval period, (400-1066AD). The head is polyhedral in form (a cuboid with the corners cut off), square in profile and in section and has thirteen faces. Below the head is a worn transverse collar. The shaft is circular in cross-section and measures 30mm in length.
A punched ring-and-dot motif decorates five of the faces of the pin head. Each face of the pin head is worn and uneven due to both recent damage from within the plough soil and corrosion. The object has an olive green patina and is pitted.

An incomplete copper alloy small-long brooch of Early Medieval date, about AD 500 - 600. The head plate is missing. The upper bow is curved in profile arching outwards from the missing headplate before straightening to form the leg. The leg is rectangular in plan and flares outwards in width to form the sub-triangular foot with a thickened flared terminal.

A copper alloy and iron Viking strap fitting of Early Medieval date. The object is sub-triangular in plan, expanding at either end and waisted in the centre. The wider expanded end is square in cross-section and has an iron core from which projects the remains of a possible circular rivet for attachment. From the solid square end the object narrows and thins towards the opposite end which is split. The split measures 10mm in length, and is held together by a copper alloy circular rivet at the terminal with a diameter of 3mm.

A lead alloy spindle whorl of Early Medieval to Medieval date. The object is circular in plan and conical with a central circular perforation. The perforation has an internal diameter of 10mm on the flatter face which tapers to 9mm in diameter at the conical face.
Each face is worn with moulded lettering. One face reads (AOWɅo.OYV) while the opposite face reads (YOW.). The object has a mid-white patina and is worn. If not entirely fictional and imitative, it is possible that the letters may relate to an individual's name, or perhaps are a religious inscription.

A copper alloy pinhead of probable middle Early Medieval date. The head of the pin is globular, with ribbed sides which extend downwards from a central pellet on the top of the head. At the base of the pin head is the remains of a corroded iron shaft. The head has a brownish green patina and is in fair condition.
Dimensions: 13mm in length, 11mm in width, 2.3g in weight.

A copper alloy zoomorphic strap end dating to the Early Medieval period. The strap-end is made from a solid piece of copper alloy which has been split at the butt end for attachment. A circular rivet remains attached at this end. The central panel of the object is worn with no visible decoration. The terminal is moulded to form an abstract animal's head with a rounded snout and ridged moulding forming the eyes and brows.
The rear of the object is flat and undecorated. It has a rough mid-brown surface with the majority of the patina having broken away.

The surviving fragment has a central circular raised boss which is decorated, surrounded by a flattened decorated outer rim. The central boss measures 18mm in diameter and is 3.5mm thick.
